- Account information: Email address and password when you create an account, or profile information from Google/Apple Sign-In.
- Performance data: Match statistics, player ratings, team information, and other data you record in the app.
- Media: Photos and videos you capture within the app, stored locally on your device.
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for support and compatibility purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve the Footy Genius service
- Sync your data across devices via cloud backup
- Display your stats on the web dashboard
- Send match reminders (if enabled)
- Diagnose technical issues
3. Data Storage & Security
Your performance data is stored locally on your device and, if you enable cloud backup, securely on our servers via Supabase. All data is protected by Row Level Security (RLS) — only you can access your own data. Communication between the app and our servers is encrypted using TLS.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Your performance statistics are private and visible only to you.
5. Media & Camera
Photos and videos are stored locally on your device. Media files are not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly share them. Camera access is only used when you choose to record match highlights.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and export your data at any time
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Opt out of cloud sync (use the app offline only)
7. Cookies
The Footy Genius website uses essential cookies for authentication session management only. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
8. Children's Privacy
Footy Genius is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
